How We Keep Two Factor Setup Reliable

Two factor authentication on banto4d follows standard TOTP protocol — the same time-based one-time password method used across banking and wallet apps Indonesia players already know. We do not store your authenticator seed after setup, and SMS codes expire after 60 seconds. These aren't promises — they're the mechanics of how the system runs.

TOTP Protocol

We use time-based one-time password generation, compatible with Google Authenticator and Authy. Codes rotate every 30 seconds and cannot be reused after a single login attempt.

60-Second SMS Expiry

SMS verification codes expire 60 seconds after delivery. If the code times out, you can request a fresh one immediately from the login screen without contacting support.

Device Session Control

After enabling two factor setup, you can review active sessions and revoke access for any device you do not recognise, directly from the Security tab in Account Settings.

Backup Code Storage

During setup we generate eight single-use backup codes. Download and store them offline. If you lose your authenticator app, one backup code restores your account access.

What Two Factor Setup Does for Your Account

When you switch on two factor authentication, every new login triggers a second check beyond your password. We support authenticator apps — Google Authenticator and Authy both work — as well as SMS codes sent to your registered mobile number. Head to Account Settings, find the Security tab, and hit Enable under Two Factor Authentication. Scan the QR code with your authenticator

app or confirm your number for SMS codes. From that point on, logging in from a new device in Depok or anywhere else requires both your password and a fresh six-digit code. Your linked wallets — DANA, OVO, GoPay — stay protected behind that second layer.

Two Factor Setup Terms You Should Know

These are the terms you will encounter during the two factor setup process. Each definition is plain and direct so you know exactly what each step involves before you click.

01
What is TOTP?

TOTP stands for Time-based One-Time Password. It generates a six-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds using a shared secret between your authenticator app and our server.

02
What is a QR code in two factor setup?

The QR code displayed during setup encodes your account secret. Scanning it with Google Authenticator or Authy links the app to your account so it can generate matching login codes.

03
What are backup codes?

Backup codes are single-use recovery strings generated when you enable two factor setup. Each one works once to unlock your account if your authenticator app or phone is unavailable.

04
What does 2FA mean?

2FA means two factor authentication — a login method requiring something you know (your password) plus something you have (a code from your phone or SMS) to verify identity.

05
What is an authenticator app?

An authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy runs on your phone and generates TOTP codes offline. It does not need an internet connection to produce your login codes.

06
What is SMS verification in 2FA?

SMS verification sends a one-time code to your registered mobile number at each login. It is a fallback option when an authenticator app is not set up or accessible on your device.

Common Questions About Two Factor Setup

These are the questions we hear most often when people work through the two factor setup steps. If yours isn't here, live chat is the fastest route to a direct answer.

Log in, go to Account Settings, open the Security tab, and select Enable under Two Factor Authentication. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator or Authy, enter the first code to confirm, and setup is done.

Yes. During the two factor setup flow, choose SMS Verification instead of authenticator app. Enter your mobile number, confirm the test code we send, and SMS codes will be used at every subsequent login.

Use one of the eight backup codes generated during setup to log in. Once inside, go to Security Settings, disable the old two factor method, and re-enroll with your new device or app.

Two factor setup secures your login session. Wallet withdrawals via DANA, OVO, or GoPay follow their own wallet-level PIN confirmation, but a secure account login is the first protection layer before any withdrawal is processed.

Check your phone's time and date are set to automatic. TOTP codes depend on clock sync. If your phone clock drifts even slightly, the code will mismatch. Correct the time setting and try again immediately.

Yes. Go to Account Settings, Security tab, and select Disable under Two Factor Authentication. You will be asked to enter a current valid code or a backup code to confirm the change before it takes effect.
